COMPONENTS

There are 5 components that together create the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA).  You can click on the names of them to see more detailed information about these components and the programs within them.

Community Services and Supports

Community Services and Supports (CSS) comprises the largest portion of MHSA funding and is for service expansion and system improvements.

Prevention and Early Intervention

Prevention & Early Intervention (PEI) is a “help-first” approach. PEI programs bring mental health awareness into the lives of all members of the community through public education initiatives and dialogue.

Workforce Education and Training

Workforce, Education and Training (WET) addresses the shortage of qualified individuals who provide services in Shasta County’s public mental health system.

Innovation

Innovation (INN) projects are novel, creative and/or ingenious mental health practices/approaches that contribute to learning.

Capital Facilities and Technology Needs

Capital Facilities and Technology Needs (CF/TN) addresses development of a variety of community mental health facility improvements and technology projects.
