The Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board (MHADAB) is recruiting for new members. The MHADAB provides oversight of the local mental health system and alcohol and drug programs, and is composed of community members, individuals with mental illness or drug and alcohol addictions, and family members of people living with mental illness or drug and alcohol addictions.
Applicants must live within Shasta County and be available on the first Wednesday of every other month at 5:15 p.m. Interested persons may call 225-5900 for an application or can download one from the Health and Human Services Agency website on the MHADAB main page. No member of the MHADAB or his or her spouse/registered domestic partner or immediate family member shall be a full-time or part-time employee of Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency. MHADAB members also cannot be an employee of, or a paid member of the governing body of, any agency that contracts with the Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency.
